Brad Wilkie, initially started working at MechTronic as a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice some 15 years ago. Through hard work and dedication, he continued with his studies alongside work, gaining valuable knowledge and experience on the job and developing his career, until he became Managing Director in September 2022.

At MechTronic skills really are for life, not only did Brad start out as an apprentice but Ben Wilkie, Ryan Parr and Courtney Haigh have all started out as an apprentice. All have stayed within the business, developing their knowledge and skills to develop their careers within at MechTronic.

As part of National Apprenticeship Week 2024, we hope that by sharing some of their experiences it will encourage other young people to think about undertaking an apprenticeship or other employers to invest in young people and help them develop skills for life.

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we will highlight how our young apprentices are developing their skills, with articles on both Alfie and Louie to feature this week.
