At MechTronic, we have always believed that investing in the next generation is key to long-term innovation. Today, we are incredibly proud to announce the promotion of Alfie Lightowler to the role of Technical Support Engineer.
The journey so far
Alfie joined MechTronic in August 2022 as an apprentice, where he quickly demonstrated a natural aptitude for the technical complexities of our fuel delivery systems. Over the years, he has worked closely with Ryan Parr in our Engineering and Development department, gaining hands-on experience and a deep understanding of our core technologies, including the OptiMate and MaxFlow systems.
His dedication to learning and his commitment to the MechTronic standard of excellence have made him a vital part of our team.

Supporting customers across the UK and Ireland
In his new role as a Technical Support Engineer, Alfie will be taking his expertise on the road. He is now responsible for providing high-level technical support and field service to our customers across the UK and Ireland.
Whether it is troubleshooting complex issues, performing essential maintenance, or ensuring that our latest metering technology is performing at its peak, Alfie will be on the front line helping our customers keep their fleets moving.
Ryan Parr, Engineering and Development Manager, said: “Watching Alfie grow from an apprentice into a fully-fledged Technical Support Engineer has been a pleasure. His promotion is a testament to his hard work and the success of our apprenticeship scheme. We know our customers in the UK and Ireland are in safe hands with Alfie.”
We are excited to see Alfie take this next step in his career and continue to deliver the exceptional service that MechTronic is known for.
Congratulations, Alfie!
