Oil 4 wales and MechTronic have formed a strong relationship since the installation of MaxFlow (an electronic metering system) in 2011. Colin Owens, Owner of Oil 4 Wales said: “As time goes on, technology changes and in 2016 we made the decision to purchase four OptiMate systems to update our fleet.

“The automatic processes that OptiMate provides is delivering cost savings across our updated fleet. The automatic line change process takes away driver calculations and as the manifold is automatically drained after each delivery, there is no risk of contamination. It is easy to see the benefits that this innovative metering system brings to our business.

“The feedback from drivers has been great, they like the fact that there aren’t lots of buttons to press and that the information is clearly displayed – this proved highly valuable to the drivers when they are out in the cold and rain, or when the dark nights start to descend.”

This case study was first published in 2016. Since then, Oil 4 Wales have further invested and have now bought 16 OptiMate’s for use across their fleet.
