On Sunday 18th September, Ben and Brad took on the Dark Peak 75-mile sportive, which took on some long hills in and around the Wakefield area.
We are delighted to confirm that they did complete the challenge in just under 5 hours and climbed nearly 8,000ft. A fantastic achievement and furthermore, they have been able to raise £329 for the Miscarriage Association, a charity close to their hearts.
Ben said: “This event was challenging in a different way to some of the other rides we have completed. The hills were much longer than we are used to, the rides we have completed previously, the hills have been shorter and steeper. As part of the ride, we climbed Snake Pass, which is 3.85 miles long, with an average of 7% incline, this meant we were climbing for 24 minutes nonstop!
“It was great to do something different though and to be able to raise so much money for our chosen charity too. Thank you to everyone who sponsored us and cheered us on!”
