We all struggle to cope sometimes, and with one in five of us having experienced suicidal thoughts in our lives, it’s time for action and to tackle the stigma of mental health.
Mental health isn’t just a pit stop in life – it’s a crucial aspect of overall well-being.
Wear it Green
MechTronic will be participating in the Wear It Green Day initiative on May 16th as part of Mental Health Awareness Week, which takes place from May 13th to May 19th. We are proud to support their mission of developing better ways to promote good mental health in all communities.
This year’s theme is Movement. By engaging in physical activities and immersing ourselves in nature, we can experience a boost in our mood, and gain the much-needed time to take care of ourselves.
We asked some of the team what they do to move more and their answers are shown in the images.
Need help?
Our industry is typically male-dominated, and men can often find it difficult to express their feelings or thoughts, but there are people available to help.
If you need to talk, please do reach out for support, the Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, and it’s completely confidential – Call 116 123 – it’s FREE.
If you are concerned that you, or someone you know, is developing a mental health problem you should seek the advice and support of your GP as a matter of priority.
By raising awareness of mental health challenges, we can steer towards a more compassionate and inclusive culture that values the importance of seeking help and support when needed.
