Estuary Oils is an independent, family oil and lubricant business, supplying homes, businesses, and the agricultural sector across South Wales since 2014.

They first took delivery of OptiMate in 2020 and now have two vehicles delivering with OptiMate.

What benefits does OptiMate deliver to Estuary Oils?

David Mould, Logistics and Operations Manager at Estuary Oil said: “We have been using the OptiMate system for a few years now on our urban trailers. It has helped us to reduce pumping times down to 35 minutes from 55, with pumping speed at 1150 LPM. It has almost halved our pumping time, which is a big saving on fuel, especially where the prices are at present.”

We asked David what else he liked about the system, he said: “OptiMate delivers 390 litres per minute through the hose reel, compared to other systems which only give 290, this is a real benefit to us especially in rural areas. Also having the electronic product indicators eliminates any contamination which is great if training new drivers.”

David went on to say that: “Our drivers favourite feature would be the multi-compartment scheduling when delivering full loads. This is a feature that enables drivers to stay at the point of delivery, without having to return to the vehicle to perform a compartment change, OptiMate can be scheduled during the delivery set-up to automatically complete this process.”
